Optimization of Recausticizing Process
Traditional measurements for the recausticizing operation include differential temperature, density and conductivity. All of these measurement techniques infer a concentration of EA, TTA, sulphide, and/or carbonate. FITNIR provides more reliable, accurate, and true concentrations of chemical compositions to perform superior slaker control and causticizing efficiency (CE) control. For example, knowing the carbonate concentration of clarified GL provides the opportunity to perform feedforward slaker control by metering the optimal (stoichiometric) amount of lime into the slaker, thereby reducing occurrence of overliming.
