Tembec selects FITNIR Analyzers Inc. to reduce costs at its
Skookumchuck pulp mill
April 14, 2011 – After a successful 6 month trial, Tembec Pulp Group’s Skookumchuck operations has selected FITNIR Analyzers Inc. to control its causticizer processes. FITNIR’s near-infrared analyzer will measure liquor samples from six of the mill’s process streams. Constant monitoring of the samples will reduce over-liming and scaling within Tembec’s pipe lines, leading to improved process stability and mechanical performance, decreased down time, and subsequently, lower operating costs. Canfor Northwood System Upgrade
October 6, 2010 - The successful system upgrade at the Canfor Northwood pulp mill in Prince George, BC has been completed. The FITNIR analyzer measures 12 streams from two continuous digesters, one stream from the C102 generator and one stream from the bleach plant.
Al-Pac Recaust Analyzer
October 1, 2010 - FITNIR is pleased to announce the successful startup of a recaust analyzer at Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac) in Boyle, AB. The analyzer will measure liquor properties from six streams of the recaust plant.
